Feature Update: ICD-10 Codes

Dear Luminello member,

Just a quick announcement to let you know that Luminello has updated the assessment code database to incorporate the latest updates to ICD-10. Fortunately, this only involves a very small percentage of the codes we use, mostly centered around substance use. For additional details, check out this helpful guide on DSM-5 Diagnoses and New ICD-10-CM Codes.

What do I have to do?

For new free text, followup or intake notes – nothing different!  Enter a diagnosis like you normally do.

For cloning notes which were signed before 10/1/17 – be sure any codes affected by this update (reference the link above) are removed, and use the new ones instead.

For billing for services in which an affected diagnosis was in use both before and after 10/1/17 – be sure to create different billing statements, one ending on 9/30/17 (which will show the old ICD-10 code) and another beginning on 10/1/17 (which will show the new ICD-10 code).

Notes per month

  • Includes all note types (free text, intake, SOAP, vitals, rating scale, and lab notes) for all charts. For example, you could write 1 note for 30 patients/clients, 2 notes for 15 patients/clients, etc.
  • For plans with a note limitation, you can upgrade once you hit the limit, or wait for the next billing period to begin (for annual plan users, you can wait until the date of your sign-up in the next month).
